Our focus above all else is that our couples and families to have a good time. Most of our couples show up uneasy saying “sorry, we’re awkward and hate getting our photo taken” (we’re talking about you, guys) and by the end they’re going on about how easy and fun it was. Trust us, getting photos taken doesn’t have to suck or to be awkward in any way, and we will make sure you’ll have a great time!

We want photography to be more than something on your checklist of things to do. You don’t realize it now, but photography is really the only thing that lasts. It’s something that will only increase in value over time as the images get passed down for generations.

DRESS LIKE YOURSELF

Dress comfortably, don’t feel like you need to “dress up” because it’s an occasion. Wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. Whether that’s ripped up jeans or a summery skirt, you do you!

SMALL TIP

If you’re wearing two outfits, save your favorite one for the second half, and if you’re wearing only one, arrive in that. But please be mindful if you need to change, as many locations won’t allow usage of toilets and its difficult to carry extra stuff with you.

MAKE IT AN ALL DAY ACTIVITY

You’re not going to be your cutest most genuine selves at the end of an errand-filled stressful day. So take it easy all day! Grab lunch together, get a drink, relax together doing something you enjoy. That way, when we meet for the shoot, you’re filled with love and excitement for each other. Let me capture you on your best day.

OUTFITS FOR HER

Like the location, your outfits should also be a reflection of you. That said, there are some simple tips to help you choose your outfit.

Try to stick with outfits that are timeless, beautiful and comfy. You want to admire and display these photos in years to come, so aim for looks that are totally you.

Aim for neutral colors like pastels.

Cloth movement also adds a little more romance in your photos. Dresses, flowy shorts etc are fantastic if your shoes are a little hard to walk in, bring some flats with you so you can move around easily.

Try adding some accessories – simple necklace, huge earrings, hats and give a pop-up to your photos.

OUTFITS FOR HIM

Let’s face it! For guys, it’s always easier. Choose outfits that make you feel awesome and comfy! Aim for neutral colors. Add some accessories for more interest like hats, glasses, watch and so much more. Cut your hair 3-4 days before so the hair have some time to blend a bit.

SHARE IT ALL WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Honesty is mandatory. Vulnerability is encouraged. We can only capture your true dynamic if you allow me into your space. Remember how you interact when you’re alone, and don’t hide it. Embrace both the goofy laughter and the quiet vulnerable moments. I will, of course, guide you through all this as we shoot, but I need you to meet me halfway and allow me into your intimacy. DON’T HOLD BACK

Just be you! This seems obvious, but sometimes it’s tough to really commit to it. We want your dynamic to set the tone and mood of the shoot, not what you think a session should look like. Are you goofballs? Are you introverted? I want to experience all those little moments you might otherwise consider the “outtakes”. Don’t act like you think you should, we want to capture you as you are. The truest emotion is in the outtakes!

FORGET THE “PHOTO SHOOT” PART

You’re not there for me. I’m there for you: to document your love. The objective isn’t just to take pretty pictures. It’s to capture an exciting stage in your life, while spending time together. It’s very likely that the last time you got your picture taken “professionally” was for an awkward high school photo or for super posed family portraits. I promise you, it will be nothing like that. So forget the photos, and focus on enjoying the evening!

PERFECT TIMING AND LOCATION

We are obsessed with light, and we LOVE exploring new places, so the sky is the limit and time is the key. The best hour to get beautiful soft images is early morning or late evening, but if you want vivid colors you must choose mid-day sun. The location really comes down to what you want in your photos.
